Who I Am

The question of why I started this business is a profound one, deeply rooted in my incredible family and the diverse experiences I've gathered throughout my life. These various facets have guided me towards working with older adults, igniting a passion for enhancing their lives and providing meaningful support.

Another key aspect that fueled my motivation is the growing need for community engagement among seniors. As I witnessed the isolation many older adults faced, I realized that fostering connections and creating vibrant social opportunities could significantly improve their quality of life. By developing programs that encourage interaction, creativity, and shared experiences, I aim to not only support their physical well-being but also nurture their emotional health, helping them feel valued and connected in an ever-changing world.

My life has truly been a tapestry woven from diverse experiences and skill sets. Growing up in Seattle, I developed a lasting passion for zoology and animal care. This passion was further nurtured through internships at zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, as well as my time spent in the jungles of Costa Rica, where I surveyed wildlife for research for the University of Washington.

Eventually, I caught the acting bug and pursued my dreams in California. There, I received classical training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and co-founded a small production company with two colleagues, producing our first feature film on a shoestring budget and continue to wear the producers hat to this day.

During my 16 years in the Golden State, I explored various other paths, becoming a licensed massage therapist and delving into the world of wine by taking sommelier courses at UCLA and working in the tasting rooms and vineyards of northern Santa Barbera county . Each of these facets of my life shares a common thread: a deep commitment to care. Whether it’s caring for animals, supporting fellow actors, ensuring the well-being of massage clients, or nurturing customers and the wine itself, care has been at the heart of my journey.

Family has always been a cornerstone of my life. Growing up, my grandparents were my entire world, while my parents enriched my life with a wealth of experiences and knowledge. Thanks to their guidance, I had the opportunity to travel the globe and connect with a diverse array of people from various cultures.

As my parents age, they bring with them not only wisdom but also the realities that come with growing older. In early 2026, I faced the unexpected loss of my mother, Linda, who was my brightest light. In the wake of her passing, I have turned my focus inward, reflecting on the impact she had on others and striving to embody that same spirit in my own life.

Helping Hands

When you choose Empathic Care Support, you will be working directly with me. My decision to operate without employees reflects my commitment to a personalized, holistic approach to care. However, I am not alone in this journey. I have formed a partnership with a select group of caregivers, all of whom are solo practitioners like myself. We proudly call ourselves "People Who Care." Each month, we come together to share insights and enhance our skills. We refer clients to one another, provide consultations, and support each other in emergencies, ensuring that our clients receive the best care possible.

All Questions are Welcome!
